Brady Davis, General Manager at Seay Motors, is no stranger to the car business. Brady and his team have a great operation and great culture.

Throughout the years, Brady has become proficient in inventory management. Sourcing, merchandising, and pricing – Seay Motors has it down to a tee. The dealership knows its customers and sources effectively.

In late 2022, Brady added Fountain Forward’s Automotive Accelerator.

Fountain Forward implemented a new, highly aggressive Media Mix Model.

Seay Motor’s new omni-channel strategy generated MORE traffic and lead volume. Leads started flowing through their own website – NOT 3rd parties!

In 2022, Seay Motors sold 1,164 units.

In 2023 and 2024, things got harder. Sales slipped to 90 per month. The market was changing, rates were high, grosses were compressing, and customers were pickier.

Every dollar of ad spend was starting to matter more.

In late Q4 of 2024, Fountain Forward and Seay Motors re-aligned to get to the objective of 100 units per month.

We focused on fundamentals. Inventory, Average Price Per Unit, Turn Rates, Conversion Rates, and Lead Volume targets needed to hit 100 units per month. And… Salespeople!

Brady pulled the plug on CarGurus at the end of 2024.

Those dollars were reallocated to higher-performing platforms, like Google & Meta. Throughout the lifetime of our partnership, Seay Motors has a cost per sale of $324.73.

Followed shortly after with an investment into a new website provider, Overfuel: The highest converting website platform in the industry, which helped to boost conversions even further.

Lead volume started to flow through the website at a higher clip.

The Human Factor Matters!

At Seay Motors, values aren’t just words on a wall. Trust. Honesty. Transparency.

Those are the tools the team leans on. Calls aren’t rushed. Conversations are detailed. Customers know exactly what to expect before they ever step onto the lot.

They give a lot of info over the phone, and they want to ensure that the customer gets to the store. Brady ensures the team is very upfront to avoid heat and facilitate a smooth transaction with their customers.

In recent years, Brady has navigated years with one salesperson, Brett, and one finance manager. Yes, you read that right. One salesperson.

Brady was committed to increasing his sales staff at the start of the year. It was not an easy decision because the store was performing.

A new sales guy Kevin started, and that same week, Brett was diagnosed with cancer, and needed to take time off work. Best of wishes to Brett as he continues to fight his battle against cancer.

Brady and Kevin have managed, and continue to sling vehicles, but it’s been difficult as they have still been short-handed. In August, they hired Kyle and ended up selling 117 in September.

Here we are, with a few months to go in 2025… Seay Motors is chasing down 100 units per month.

  • Sales are on pace for 1,200 units.— their best year on record.
  • Traffic is on pace to hit 300,000 website visitors
  • CORE Leads jumped to 469/month — the largest gain in three years. (+39%)
  • CORE Lead %: 43.1% → 62.9%
  • Conversion rate climbed to 2.01%, the strongest in three years, after a Fountain Forward–guided website switch to Overfuel.
